About Sally
Sally Kingston, PhD, is a lifelong educator and purpose-driven leader who has dedicated more than 30 years to helping schools, districts, nonprofits, and education agencies bring their visions to life. Her journey has taken her from the classroom to the national stage, always guided by a belief that meaningful change happens when equity, evidence, and lived experience come together.
What sets Sally apart is her ability to translate big ideas into practical, lasting results. From her early work as a bilingual teacher to leading multimillion-dollar initiatives, she has seen firsthand how clear strategies, grounded in purpose, can transform systems and expand opportunity.
Those who work with Sally know her for her integrity, thoughtfulness, and passion for achieving impact. Whether she’s designing a district’s first communications strategy, writing winning proposals, or turning complex data into clear insights, she brings both rigor and heart to the work. She thrives on collaboration, building trust, and helping organizations create momentum that lasts.
Through her consultancy, Impact4Ed, Sally partners with mission-driven organizations to strengthen communications, deepen stakeholder engagement, and build capacity. Her focus is always the same: do the work well, do it with heart, and make sure it makes a difference.
Sally earned her doctorate in education from UC Santa Barbara, where she was honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award. She is grateful to call Santa Barbara home, where she continues to be inspired by the community around her.
